Mrs. Paulina (Sigmon) Scudder, age 84, of East Enterprise, Indiana, entered this life on March 19, 1931, in Switzerland County, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Paul Rayburn and Elizabeth (Bishop) Sigmon. She was raised in Switzerland County, Indiana where she attended the Long Run Grade School and was a 1949 graduate of the Vevay High School. Paulina was united in marriage on July 3, 1949, at the Long Run Baptist Church near Moorefield, Indiana, to the Rev. John Scudder & to this union arrived a son, Dennis & a daughter, Susan to bless their home. Paulina & John shared 66 loving years of marriage together until her death. In her early years of life, Paulina was employed for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana. She was also employed for the Allensville Store House, for 12 years. She was Secretary for the International Harvester Dealership in Vevay, Indiana. Paulina resided with her loving husband for the past 55 years in East Enterprise, Indiana. She was a former Director for the Jack Sullivan Senior Citizen Center in Vevay, Indiana. She was a faithful member of the East Enterprise United Methodist Church. Paulina was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed making rag rugs in her Loom Room workshop, cooking, reading, sewing, seamstressing and socializing with her family and friends. Paulina will be remembered for her smile and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed by her family and her community. Paulina went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:10 am Thursday July 2, 2015, at the Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.

Paulina will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 66 years: Rev. John Scudder of East Enterprise, IN; her son: Dennis Scudder & his wife: Rachel of Shelbyville, IN; her daughter: Susan Alexander & her husband: Rodney of Mesa, AZ & her grandchildren: Michael Alexander, Claire Scudder & Laura Scudder.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Paul Rayburn & Elizabeth (Bishop) Sigmon; her stepmother: Beryl (Gardner) Sigmon; her stepbrother: Maurice Ash & her stepsister: Pat Baumgartner.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 7, 2015, at 1:00 pm, by Pastor Bill Madison & Pastor Roger Parrott, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.
