Mrs. Karen Sue (Truesdell) Mizer, age 52, of Mulberry, Kansas, formerly of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on June 4, 1963, in Madison, Indiana, the loving daughter of, Bro. Don E. and Carolyn Jean (Russell) Truesdell. She was raised in Jefferson County, Indiana and was a 1981 graduate of the Madison Consolidated High School. After high school, she received her LPN license in 1989 from Ivy Tech Community College in Madison, Indiana. Karen was united in marriage on February 14, 1994, at the Center Square Church of Christ, to Steven M. Mizer and to this union arrived a son, Samuel to bless their home. Karen and Steven shared 21 years of marriage together until her death. Karen was a former employee for Hanover Nursing Center in Hanover, Indiana. She was currently employed for Heritage Nursing Home in Girard, Kansas, for several years. She was also employed at various nursing homes in Indiana and Kansas throughout her life. Karen was a member of the Center Square Church of Christ in Center Square, Indiana. Karen enjoyed working and socializing with the elderly ever since she was little. She also enjoyed working puzzles, cross stitching. knitting, Sudoku and cruises with her husband, Steven. Karen was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and niece. Karen passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015, at her residence in Mulberry, Kansas.

Karen will be missed by her husband: Steven M. Mizer of Mulberry, KS; her son: Samuel J. Truesdell of Mulberry, KS; her parents: Bro. Don E. & Carolyn Jean (Russell) Truesdell of Vevay, IN; her sisters: Donna VanHook & her husband: Bill of Jeffersonville, IN, Pamela Faber & her husband: Donald of Cincinnati, OH, Patricia Loveless & her husband: Kevin of Dry Ridge, KY & Debra Williams & her husband: David of Cincinnati, OH; her brother: Paul Truesdell & his wife: Pamela of Cincinnati, OH & her several aunts, uncles, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews.

A Memorial Service will be conducted, Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 2:00 pm, at the Center Square Church Of Christ, Center Square, Indiana.

Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery, Jacksonville, Indiana.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at the Center Square Church of Christ, Center Square, Indiana.
