Condolences

Condolence From: Delena (Whicker) Knoke
Condolence: To the family of Mrs. Burke - I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of such a wonderful lady. I took piano lessens from Mrs. Burke for several years. I'll never forget my last recital with her; it was just before she moved away from the Madison/Hanover area. I was so sad to be losing her as a teacher, but she was so encouraging in telling me I had reached great heights when learning to play and would be fine. After her return to Madison, we kept in touch off and on via letters (the handwritten kind - can you believe it!) and I visited her a few times at her home on Van Buren. Mrs. Burke was such a kind lady who truly cared about her students. She lived a long, enriched life and leaves behind a legacy not only in her family, but in all the students she taught over the years.

Condolence From: Linda Scott Harrell
Condolence: Cynthia and Paula...I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. She used to make our majorette outfits in school and was a wonderful seamstress. She would also accompany me when I sang solos in churches or for weddings. I know how much your family will miss her...may she rest in peace....
