Life Story for Ella May Edwards (Tapp)

Ella May  Edwards (Tapp)
Mrs. Ella May (Tapp) Edwards, age 68, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on February 4, 1947, in Vevay, Indiana, the loving daughter of the late, Walter and Mary Etta (Earls) Tapp. She was raised in Vevay, Indiana and was a graduate of the Vevay High School. Ella May was united in marriage on November 10, 1984 in Vevay, Indiana to Jesse Dale Edwards. Ella May and Jesse Dale shared over 31 years of marriage together until her death. Ella May was a former employee for the US Shoe Factory in Vevay, Indiana for several years. She was also employed for Richardson's Industries in Vevay, Indiana for 10 years. Ella May retired from Royer Corporation in Madison, Indiana after 9 years of service. She was a member of the Vevay American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #185. Ella May enjoyed gambling and will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Ella May passed away with her loving family by her side at 5:30 am, Thursday, December 24, 2015, at her residence in Vevay, Indiana.

Ella May will be dearly missed by her husband: Jesse Dale Edwards of Vevay, IN; her daughters: Shirley Cunning & her husband: Brian of Conroe, TX, Angie Cole & her husband: Steve of Bedford, KY, Lainie Parson & her husband: Paul of Vevay, IN & Susie Edwards & her companion: Harley Haas of Versailles, IN; her son: Barry Gene Edwards & his wife: Janice of Dry Ridge, KY; her daughter-in-law: Missy Burke of Carrollton, KY; her grandchildren: Brian Pike & his wife: Stevi, Bradley Pike, James Pike, Jordan Burke, Caitlyn Rae Burke, Josh Shuck, Jeremy Shuck, Hilary Shuck, Mikaela Shuck, Elijah Shuck & Rocky Wilson & his wife: Missie; her great-grandchildren: Maddy Pike, Maya Shuck, Hartlyn Shuck, Maisy Shuck, Dillon Wilson & Remy Wilson; her sister: Norma Chase & her husband: Buster of Vevay, IN; her brother: Harold Tapp of Dupont, IN & her several nieces, nephews & friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Walter & Mary Etta (Earls) Tapp; her son: Walter Burke, died in 1998; her grandson: Brandon Michael Burke-Pike, died August 18, 2014; her brother: Harry Tapp & her sister-in-law: Beulah Tapp.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 28, 2015, at 11:00 am, by Bro. Steve Pike, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

Interment will follow in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Indiana.

Friends may call 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, Sunday, December 27, 2015, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home 208 Ferry Street Vevay, Indiana 47043.

American Legion Post #185 Ladies Auxiliary services will be conducted at 7:00 pm, Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #185 Relief Fund. Cards are available at the funeral home.
