Condolence: I worked with Tom and the many wonderful Vevay employees in the early 90's - I represented the IT part of a team working to simplify the flow of work. It was some of my favorite years in my career. Tom was a people person that everyone loved. It was his gentle and calm ways that inspired people to be their best when working with him.
I am sure the entire town of Vevay will miss Tom along with his family. May God Bless!

Condolence: Dedicated to Tom's family...

On March 7 the earth experienced a huge void with Tom's passing but the Heavens above welcomed their newest member. The view has been reserved for many years & his seat reserved next to Theresa, the love of his life. Tom was many things to many people – all of them good. His love & respect for family was paramount in his life. Marriage to Theresa for nearly 61 years saw a love & devotion second to none. Steve & Gene were blessings born from this union. He couldn't have been prouder. These blessings continued through grandchildren & a great-granddaughter. He was a gentle giant of a man with a heart as big as all outdoors that encompassed family & friends alike. He was kind and giving, fun-loving, kindhearted & generous, unique with a keen sense of humor, friend to all he met.

To me Tom was all of the above & more. He took my wife & kids on tours of the factory & treated them like his own. He'd cross his arms over his chest, call me “Little David” (which I could only be to him) & we'd talk about sports & the people he'd encountered in his many years in the shoe business. His reminiscing about growing up in small-town Arkansas gave insight to a man that to this day I hold in awe & the highest of regards. Thanks for sharing him with all of us. He'll be missed. God speed, Tom, God speed.
